Goniometers rotate an object about an axis in space located outside the body of the unit. Goniometers have small travel range and greater stability compared to rotation stages. It consists of a brass circle, graduated on its edge and mounted on one end of a horizontal axis. Goniometers are used to rotate an object or sample about a point in space. The goniometers are capable of carrying loads up to 11.6 kN. It is an instrument for measuring the interfacial angles of crystals.
Gonioscopy Lenses, indirect gonioscopes forms part of a complete ophthalmic examination and is mandatory for the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. It permits identification of eyes at risk for closure and detects angle abnormalities that could have diagnostic and therapeutic implications. It uses mirrors or prisms to overcome the problem of total internal reflection.
Grasping Forceps is used to elevate the phreno-oesophageal membrane, which is dissected off the anterior aspect of the oesophagus. It features hook type prongs and round prong wires, which allow atraumatic grasper manipulation.
Grasping Forceps are the instrument used for unipolar coagulation. It includes a handle and an elongate cable with resiliently outwardly flared claws at the leading end. The cable is of a fixed length relative to the handle and its interlocking elements are provided to fix the sheath in the retracted position.
