Stethoscope is an acoustic medical device. It is designed to mediate sounds produced by the human body. It consists of rubber tubing in a Y shape. It is used for auscultation, or listening, to internal sounds in a human or animal body. It is typically used to listen to heart sounds and breathing, though it is also used to listen to intestines and blood flow in arteries and veins. There are several types of stethoscopes such as acoustic stethoscope and electronic stethoscopes.

Most are made of Y-shaped rubber tubing. This shape allows sounds to enter the device at one end, travel up the tubes and through to the earpieces.

There are basically two forms of stimulators that are used in neurology. These are either constant-voltage or constant-current stimulators. Constant-voltage stimulators maintain a constant potential difference at the electrodes, whereas constant-current stimulators maintain a passage of constant current through the tissue. Constant-voltage stimulators effectively have a low internal resistance, therefore the output voltage is not dependent upon variation of the output current. Constant-current stimulators, on the other hand, effectively have a high internal resistance, and output current is, to within certain limits, independent of tissue-resistance variability.

Stomach Tubes are used for the gastric lavage and evacuation of gastric fluids. It features open distal end, one side eye and a black ring to gauge insertion depth. Stomach tubes are conveniently made from polyethylene uretal catheters or other small-gauge soft polyethylene. It is made from non-toxic & non-irritant soft PVC. Stomach tubes are used to instill liquids directly into the stomach.

Stone extraction balloon double lumen is used for temporarily occlusion of uretropelvic junction to prevent stone fragments from entering the ureter during percutaneous lithotripsy and for injection of contrast.
