Eye bandages protects the eye from symptoms caused by dry eye, medical conditions, drug reactions and environmental factors. It forms a moisture chamber over the eye area during rest. It is commonly used to protect the eye of a patient from external infection, from external mechanical trauma, from bright light, from perceiving images, which might induce unwanted eye movement, and to collect discharge from the conjunctiva.

An eye loupe has the function of magnifying the image and of increasing the refractive power of the eye so that a given source can be imaged at closer distance than would be the case for an unaided eye.

Amblyoscope is a reflecting stereoscope used for measuring or training binocular vision and for stimulating vision in an amblyopic eye. It presents one image to one eye and another image to the other eye. Commonly it employs front-surfaced mirrors placed at different angles close to the eyes to reflect the images into the eyes.

Eye pillow can be used instead of rose petals, or the client's eyes can be left uncovered if desired by the therapist. It is a small cloth bag filled with grain or some lightweight pellets that can be placed over the eyes of a supine patient to shut out light and other visual stimulation.
