The elliptical shaped incision is easier to close and makes the resulting scar from the biopsy less noticeable. Our wittenberg visipunch is a circular dermal biopsy punch with windows in the blade that enable the medical clinician to clearly visualize the lesion being removed to ensure a higher rate of clear surgical margins.
