Thermography, thermal imaging, or thermal video, is a type of infrared imaging science. Thermographic cameras detect radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum (roughly 900-14,000 nanometers or 0.9-14 µm) and produce images of that radiation. Since infrared radiation is emitted by all objects based on their temperatures, according to the black body radiation law, thermography makes it possible to see one's environment with or without visible illumination. The amount of radiation emitted by an object increases with temperature, therefore thermography allows one to see variations in temperature. When viewed by thermographic camera, warm objects stand out well against cooler backgrounds; humans and other warm-blooded animals become easily visible against the environment, day or night. As a result, thermography's extensive use can historically be ascribed to the military and security services.Thermal imaging photography finds many other uses. For example, firefighters use it to see through smoke, find persons, and localize the base of a fire. With thermal imaging, power lines maintenance technicians locate overheating joints and parts, a telltale sign of their failure, to eliminate potential hazards. Thermal imaging cameras are also installed in some luxury cars to aid the driver. Some physiological activities, particularly responses, in human beings and other warm-blooded animals can also be monitored with thermographic imaging.

| Thermokeratoplasty (2 suppliers)
Thermokeratoplasty is a form of laser eye surgery. It is used to treat astigmatisms and farsightedness. Thermokeratoplasty is a refractive surgical procedure for the correction of hyperopia, which uses selective heating to reshape the cornea. Thermokeratoplasty is an FDA-approved vision correction procedure to correct nearsightedness or hyperopia.

| Thermometers (124 suppliers)
Laboratory Thermometers are used to measure temperatures or temperature changes with a high degree of precision. They are made of metal or glass and strengthened through processes such as thermal tempering or annealing. Laboratory thermometers measure temperatures in degrees fahrenheit or degrees celsius.

| Thermophore Electric Moist Heating Pad (2 suppliers)
Thermophore electric moist heating pad are used for treatment of back pain, arthritis and muscle spasms. It penetrates moist heat for deep, temporary pain relief. This pad includes a special flannel cover that retains moisture for deep tissue therapy. The hot therapy expands the size of the blood vessels, increasing blood flow. This pad is controlled by the patient with a momentary switch that can be turned off and on to maintain the highest temperature possible.

Thermoplastic thumb splint is useful in treating an incomplete tear or a strain of the ulnar collateral ligament of the thumb. It can be fabricated which holds the metacarpophalangeal joint in a neutral position. It gives close approximation of the ligament to the proximal phalanx and metacarpal so that healing can occur. It can be modified over time to allow for reduction in oedema thus maintaining correct fit and joint positioning.
