Profile: Alsius Corporation specializes in intravascular thermal regulation technology. Our Icy™ catheter is inserted into the femoral vein and resides in the inferior vena cava. It delivers target temperature and control rewarm after cooling in neuro surgery & cardiac surgery. All Alsius® heat exchange catheters are connected to the CoolGard 3000 thermal regulation system, which achieves and maintains a target temperature input. Our Fortius™ catheter incorporates a proprietary serpentine cooling balloon designed to give a solution for endovascular cooling therapy.
